Development Manager

The Development Manager will join the development team at a key point in SF New Deal’s organizational evolution. We are a committed and growing team that is building towards a vision for a vibrant San Francisco with diverse and thriving small businesses. We seek a Development Manager who will hit the ground running and help execute our strategic plan to raise $2 million this year and $5 million annually in three years.

The Development Manager works closely and collaboratively with the Director of Philanthropy, the Marketing Manager + Designer, and the Chief Impact Officer to elevate the profile of the organization, cultivate and steward relationships with individual supporters, major donors, corporate groups and foundations. They play a crucial role in managing fundraising appeals and annual campaigns so that we can maintain a strong foundation to exceed our goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Engage in SF New Deal’s development planning, strategy and administration
• Use adaptable language for audience, craft compelling fundraising appeals and annual giving campaigns
• Serve as first point of contact for prospects and donors – responding to gift inquiries and clearly communicate multiple pathways for giving
• Lead the excellent data management of all donor data
• Manage the full cycle process for gift entry and acknowledgment across all donation types (cash, stock, employee match, etc.)
• Research, report and analyze prospect and constituent data using SF New Deal’s preferred CRM, Salesforce NPSP, and other platforms and services
• Support the coordination of special events and activities that advance SF New Deal’s development priorities and mission
