Description:
The first few months will focus on learning our processes and workflows, with strong support from the rest of the PBA team who share guidance and experience daily. Most work is self-directed, but collaboration and communication are strongly encouraged. Everfox fosters a strong culture of work-life balance. Death marches, pager duty and working nights and weekends are not part of PBA’s culture.  While there may be an occasional need for after-hours work, it is not typical.
Responsibilities:
- Own and improve CI/CD pipelines across multiple products using GitLab, Jenkins, Artifactory, and Vault.
- Automate build, test, and deployment processes to improve developer productivity.
- Support and scale infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible, Packer, Docker, vSphere).
- Be a first responder for build-related outages and drive root cause analysis.

- A strong technical background and the ability to proactively identify opportunities for automation to improve efficiency and address problem areas.
- Your soft skills and willingness to learn are your most important assets. This manifests as a positive attitude, the humility to admit when you don’t know something, and the willingness to tackle complex problems with a calm, systematic approach.
- Understanding configuration management and the advantages of using dedicated tools over scripting for server setup is essential.
- Experience with tools such as Git, Docker, GitLab, Jenkins, Artifactory, vSphere, Python, Ansible, Terraform, and Packer is a plus. However, a strong understanding of when and why to use these tools is even more critical.
- A strong understanding of containerization and its benefits for both an engineer’s workflow and a system administrator managing applications is essential.
Education, Previous Work Experience
- Ability to obtain US Government Security Clearance (current clearance not required).
- BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Security OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of professional experience as a Systems Engineer, SRE, DevOps Engineer, IT Engineer, or Software Engineer (or equivalent hands-on experience).
