Diesel Mechanic

Description:

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, is hiring a skilled Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech III) to perform maintenance and repairs on a wide variety of complex rental equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems. This role provides opportunities for skill enhancement, professional growth, and advancement into higher-level Service Technician or leadership positions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform safe maintenance and repair on various equipment, ensuring quality standards.

• Train and support lower-level technicians as needed.

• Complete daily documentation of work performed using work orders.

• Travel to customer job sites for equipment repair/maintenance when required.

• Maintain the service vehicle in a clean and professional manner.

• Assist with equipment and parts pickup and delivery.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent.

• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in equipment repair and maintenance.

• Strong mechanical background with knowledge of various engines.

• Advanced mechanical aptitude and proficiency with tools (must own applicable tools).

• Strong teamwork, customer service, and communication skills.

• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
