Description:

IPG Mediabrands, the media and marketing solutions division of Interpublic Group (NYSE: IPG), is seeking a Manager, Digital Partnerships to join their Chicago team. This role involves leading a team of Negotiators and Associates in developing and executing digital media plans from inception to completion, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and driving innovative partnership opportunities across traditional and non-traditional media channels.

The Manager will act as a key liaison with clients, providing marketplace intelligence, negotiation strategies, and partnership solutions while aligning with client KPIs. The position requires managing client relationships, presenting strategic recommendations, identifying growth opportunities, and collaborating across internal teams to ensure integrated marketing communication success. The role also involves overseeing campaign planning, budget management, billing, reporting, analytics, and fostering strong relationships with media partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of Associates and Negotiators in digital media planning and execution.

  • Communicate with clients regarding marketplace intelligence, negotiations, and partnership strategies.

  • Present strategic media plans and identify new opportunities to maximize client performance.

  • Manage partner negotiations, budgets, billing processes, and campaign oversight.

  • Oversee reporting, presentations, and collaboration with Analytics and Ad Ops teams.

  • Secure competitive marketplace pricing and apply MAGNA’s investment strategies.

  • Foster long-term partnerships with media vendors and ensure alignment with client objectives.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience in digital media planning.

  • Strong understanding of media tools and syndicated research tools.

  • Experience across multiple media channels.

  • Knowledge of campaign management/ad serving technologies such as DoubleClick DART, Atlas DMT, MediaMind.

  • Proven ability to delegate, manage workload, and ensure team deliverables.

  • Strong communication skills (oral and written).

  • Ability to develop integrated marketing communication plans, including both traditional and non-traditional strategies.

  • No college degree required for this role.

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with comScore, Nielsen NetView, @Plan, NetRatings, and other third-party research tools.

  • Strong organizational, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
