Direct Support Professional

Description:

Buckeye Residential Solutions is seeking compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide quality support services to individuals with disabilities. This role focuses on enhancing the physical, emotional, intellectual, vocational, and social abilities of clients based on their unique needs and preferences. DSPs play a vital role in empowering individuals to live more independently while maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with agency and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support clients in achieving objectives outlined in their Individual Service Plans (ISPs).

• Promote the health, safety, and well-being of clients at all times.

• Assist with personal hygiene, healthcare, and medication routines.

• Help with meal preparation, grocery shopping, cleaning, and laundry.

• Facilitate recreational, social, and leisure activities.

• Provide transportation to appointments or events as needed.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and positive environment.

• Uphold respectful and courteous interactions with clients, families, colleagues, and the community.

• Attend staff meetings, mandatory trainings, and in-service sessions.

• Follow all organizational and regulatory procedures and policies.

Working Conditions:

• Hours are dependent on client needs; flexibility is important.

• Must be available to work every other weekend.

• Physical activity required: standing, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling.

Required Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older.

• High school diploma or equivalent (or actively pursuing a GED/diploma).

• Valid driver’s license.

• Ability to pass a background check as per company standards.

• Positive attitude and a desire to support individuals with disabilities.
