Job Summary (Primary function)
The Director, Market Access is responsible for access and reimbursement strategies and programs for the Incyte portfolio (in-line and new product pipeline).
Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities)
- Develop pricing, access, and reimbursement strategies and support programs for Incyte portfolio.
- Build strong value proposition and support launch preparation activities for the launch of new products/indications.
- Provide strategic access and reimbursement guidance to pipeline assets.
- Ensure strategies and tactics are supported through market research, advisory boards, benchmarks, and customer channel feedback.
- Assist with data integration projects, working closely with Sales and Marketing.
- Support management of distribution network and ensure a high level of service from specialty pharmacy and direct customer segments.
- Support Market Access team development and training curriculums.
- Assist with reimbursement support and education for Sales team.
- Provide competitive intelligence regarding marketplace reimbursement programs/services as well as insight into evolving healthcare environment.
- Support access and reimbursement engagement activities directly with payers, working closely with Field-based account team.
Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)
- Minimum of 7 years experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
- Oncology oral and/or IV experience required; Immunology and Infection experience preferred.
- Advance degree (e.g., MBA, PharmD) preferred.
- Project management and analytical skills experience preferred.
- In depth knowledge of the US commercial and government healthcare and reimbursement environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and facilitation skills.
- Independent worker with demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and produce results in a matrix environment.
- Ability to rapidly assimilate information and to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
