OSI Engineering is hiring a Director of Adoption & Ecosystem Growth for a pioneering social impact platform based in San Francisco, CA. This is a high-ownership, zero-to-one leadership role focused on ecosystem expansion, user engagement, and emotional growth journeys. The ideal candidate is someone who has successfully scaled community-led growth campaigns and is deeply passionate about tech-for-good initiatives.

As the Director of Adoption, you will be responsible for defining and executing strategies that bring users into the platform and foster long-term engagement across multiple audiences, including donors, nonprofits, volunteers, influencers, and purpose-driven brands. This role merges product marketing, behavioral design, and community growth, helping the platform to scale organically and sustainably.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and lead the user adoption and ecosystem expansion strategy

• Drive user engagement using referral mechanics, onboarding journeys, and story-based viral campaigns

• Design growth loops and social nudges that build emotional connections and trust

• Collaborate with product, design, and content teams to launch and amplify features

• Analyze community insights and feedback to optimize acquisition and retention tactics

• Cultivate a community of evangelists and translate early user traction into scalable momentum

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in roles involving product growth, brand engagement, or go-to-market strategy

• Strong history of launching successful movements or digital products to wide audiences

• Expertise in viral campaign development, user engagement mechanics, and behavior-driven growth

• Deep understanding of how people emotionally connect online and through digital products

• Proven ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, design, and marketing teams

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into emotionally resonant strategies

• Entrepreneurial mindset – thrives in ambiguity and loves building from scratch

• Passionate about purpose-driven products, social impact, and community building

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a startup or tech-for-good environment

• Knowledge of behavioral psychology, influencer marketing, or community-led growth frameworks

• Familiarity with platforms involving donations, volunteering, or activism

• Comfort with data-informed decision-making in emotional and social campaigns

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, or a related field preferred — or equivalent relevant experience.
