Position Summary

The Director of Nursing (DON) will oversee the provision of home health services, ensuring compliance with company policies, URAC/ACHC standards, and federal, state, and local regulations. This leadership role involves planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing services while managing departmental budgets, recruitment, and quality assurance initiatives.

The DON will work closely with the VP of Operations, provide 24/7 on-call coverage as needed, and play a key role in driving clinical excellence and organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee nursing policies, procedures, and quality programs.

• Lead recruitment, retention, training, and performance evaluation for nursing staff.

• Ensure compliance with ACHC, INS, CHAP, OSHA, and other regulatory standards.

• Manage departmental budget and resources efficiently.

• Coordinate nursing services with other patient care services for optimal outcomes.

• Oversee contracts, agreements, and clinical indicators related to nursing services.

• Provide leadership and guidance to staff, ensuring professional development and adherence to best practices.

• Maintain strong relationships with physicians, administrators, and partner agencies.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.

• Current RN licensure in practicing state(s).

• Minimum 5 years of home care or hospital nursing experience.

• At least 3 years of clinical leadership experience.

• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Willingness to travel up to 50% for business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing or related field.

• Specialty certification.

• Compact nursing license.

• Knowledge of home health regulations.
