Description:
As the Director of Operations, you will oversee the end-to-end supply chain processes, ensuring efficient management of procurement, logistics, and inventory systems. You will drive the development and execution of strategies that optimize supply chain operations, reduce costs, and improve service levels. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to align production schedules, streamline distribution, and mitigate risks. Additionally, you will implement data-driven decisions to enhance forecasting, manage supplier relationships, and continuously monitor and improve supply chain performance to support business growth and operational excellence. This role is ideal for somebody who has successfully scaled a growing business and has a strong track record in operations management, especially within distribution, manufacturing, and B2B environments. The Director of Operations will be responsible for documenting and standardizing processes, driving continuous improvement, and managing key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational efficiency and excellence.#
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Process Improvement:
- Document, standardize, and continuously improve operational processes across customer service, quality control, and warehouse management.
- Identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks and implement solutions to streamline operations.
- Collaborate with leadership to implement best practices and innovative solutions for scaling operations effectively.
2. Customer Service Management:
- Oversee the customer service team, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and timely resolution of issues.
- Develop strategies to improve customer experience, including implementing best practices and optimizing workflows.
- Monitor customer feedback and implement processes to address customer concerns proactively.
3. Quality Control:
- Lead quality control initiatives to ensure products and services meet the company's high standards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance procedures and protocols across operations.
- Analyze quality control data and implement corrective actions where necessary.
4. Warehouse Management:
- Oversee warehouse operations to ensure efficient inventory management, timely order fulfillment, and optimized storage.
- Implement best practices for warehouse organization and improve systems for tracking inventory levels.
- Ensure safety and compliance with industry regulations within the warehouse.
5. Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team across various operational functions.
- Foster a collaborative, results-driven culture while ensuring clear communication and alignment across departments.
- Manage training and development programs to ensure all team members are skilled and knowledgeable.
6. Budget and Resource Management:
- Manage operational budgets effectively, ensuring cost-control measures are in place without sacrificing service quality.
- Work with cross-functional teams to forecast and manage resource requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree minimum (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in operations management, with a focus on distribution, manufacturing, and B2B environments.
- Proven experience scaling operations in a growing business, with a focus on process documentation, efficiency, and performance improvement.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of successfully managing diverse teams.
- Experience with data analysis and KPI management; ability to make data-driven decisions and drive accountability.
- Knowledge of quality control standards and best practices.
