Director Of Program Management

Description:

MPINarada, a global leader in energy storage solutions, designs and builds advanced energy-storage systems that power mission-critical operations — including data centers, telecom, grid infrastructure, and hospitals. The company’s technology ensures continuous uptime in environments where power reliability is non-negotiable. MPINarada operates on a foundation of core values — Integrity, Safety, Innovation, Collaboration, Respect, Customer Focus, Community Focus, Accountability, and Growth — offering meaningful work, continuous learning, and a supportive team culture.

As the Director of Program Management, you will be the strategic leader responsible for translating customer uptime requirements into tangible MPI Narada products. You will orchestrate end-to-end program execution — from design and validation to production and delivery — ensuring that energy-storage systems meet performance, safety, and compliance standards. The role demands a high-impact leader capable of uniting engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams under a single operational vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead multiple product programs encompassing new product introductions (NPIs) and major engineering change notices (ECNs) for energy-storage systems deployed in mission-critical environments.

  • Manage integrated project plans covering scope, schedule, cost, resources, and risk mitigation across multiple product lines.

  • Drive cross-functional collaboration among Electrical, Mechanical, Controls, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Field/Service teams, ensuring project alignment and readiness for FAT/SAT/commissioning milestones.

  • Implement and enforce structured phase-gate processes (EVT/DVT/PVT/SOP) with measurable entry and exit criteria tied to safety, quality, and compliance.

  • Champion design-for-manufacturability (DFM) and design-for-assembly (DFA) principles to enhance production reliability and efficiency.

  • Oversee testing strategies, traceability systems, and supplier PPAP processes to maintain product integrity and quality standards.

  • Deliver transparent and precise executive and customer updates on program status, risks, and mitigation actions.

  • Proactively resolve certification, site readiness, and long-lead component challenges to prevent project delays.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives targeting reduced time-to-commission, improved first-pass yield, and lower cost per kilowatt-hour.

Performance Metrics for Success:

  • On-time delivery of ≥95% of NPIs with field-ready documentation and spares.

  • First-pass yield of ≥90% at PVT, achieving ramp targets within 90 days post-SOP.

  • Portfolio cost and schedule variance ≤5% from baseline.

  • Reduction of engineering change order (ECO) cycle times by 20–30% within two quarters.

  • Zero critical safety or compliance failures (e.g., UL/IEC certification).

  • ≥95% FAT→SAT readiness with 100% supplier compliance at SOP.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in program management for production hardware; at least 5 years leading project management teams.

  • Deep understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, and quality systems; experience with APQP/PPAP preferred.

  • Strong grasp of validation cycles (EVT/DVT/PVT), safety and compliance workflows, and commissioning processes.

  • Proficiency in MS Project, Smartsheet, and familiarity with cost modeling (CoGS, CapEx, OpEx).

  • PMP certification or equivalent experience strongly preferred.

  • Prior exposure to data center, battery energy storage systems (BESS), or global supplier environments highly desirable.

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.

Work Environment and Travel:

  • Hybrid work model based in Dallas, TX.

  • Remote flexibility with approximately 15–25% travel to supplier sites, factories, and customer locations.

  • Collaborative, low-politics environment with high accountability and shared success.
