Brunswick Corporation’s Freedom Boat Club is seeking an energetic and customer-focused Part-Time Dock Master to join their Marco Island team. This exciting role offers an opportunity to work outdoors by the water, assisting members in enjoying seamless boating experiences while ensuring the highest level of safety, service, and professionalism. As a Dock Master, you will play an integral role in maintaining the quality and efficiency of Freedom Boat Club operations while delivering outstanding customer experiences for members and guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome all members and guests warmly in accordance with company standards.

  • Anticipate and address members’ needs to ensure an enjoyable boating experience.

  • Manage boat check-in and check-out processes using handheld tablets and club systems.

  • Perform pre-departure and post-return equipment and safety checks on vessels.

  • Clean and maintain vessels, docks, and club facilities to uphold company standards.

  • Prepare and maintain daily logs including reservation reports, fuel usage, and weather updates.

  • Assist members with basic navigation advice and familiarity with local waters.

  • Communicate professionally with members, supervisors, and teammates.

  • Ensure compliance with safety and operational policies at all times.

  • Uphold confidentiality of member information and company data.

  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors, including clerical or maintenance duties.


Required Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

  • Capable of performing the physical demands of the job, including bending, lifting up to 25 lbs, and balancing on docks and boats.

  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and tide conditions.

  • Ability to use handheld devices and tablets for reservation and record-keeping tasks.

  • Must be available to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed.

  • Strict adherence to all safety procedures and operational guidelines.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in or around boats, marinas, or marine operations.

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to maintain composure and positivity during busy periods.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.


Working Conditions

  • Work is primarily outdoors at a marina environment, often on floating or fixed docks.

  • Exposure to water, sun, heat, and varying weather conditions is routine.

  • Must be able to safely move on and off vessels in changing tide and weather conditions.


Compensation and Benefits

  • Hourly Pay: USD 15 per hour
