Description:
The Straughter Group, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, is seeking passionate and motivated individuals to join their team as Donor Development Liaisons (DDL). This critical role focuses on expanding the organization’s donor base and enhancing its fundraising efforts to support impactful community initiatives.
As a DDL, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and building strong relationships with potential donors. You will manage your own schedule, operate independently as a contractor, and focus on securing contributions to help the organization meet its fundraising goals.
Research and identify potential donors including individuals, foundations, and organizations aligned with The Straughter Group’s mission.
Reach out to prospective donors through personalized emails, calls, or social media messages to share the organization’s impact.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with current and potential donors, ensuring consistent engagement and support.
Use only approved marketing materials provided by The Straughter Group to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
Document and report donor interactions and contact information through the organization’s CRM system.
Collaborate with the fundraising team and maintain regular communication with the Executive Director to align strategies and share donor engagement insights.
Must be based in the United States (no U.S. sponsorship available).
Any background in fundraising, donor relations, or sales is acceptable.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal abilities to engage and inspire donors.
Self-motivated, independent, and organized to manage a flexible work schedule.
Flexible hours – typically a few hours per day focusing on donor research, outreach, follow-ups, and networking.
Activities may include donor research (1–2 hours), outreach (1–2 hours), follow-ups (30 min–1 hour), and documentation (30 min).
Networking and relationship building through virtual or in-person events as needed.
Onboarding and training program to familiarize with the organization’s mission, values, and approved materials.
Access to CRM tools and marketing materials to streamline fundraising efforts.
Regular support and feedback from the Executive Director and fundraising team.
While the role primarily focuses on donor development, there may be opportunities for additional roles or advancement within The Straughter Group as initiatives and programs expand.
