Description:

The Office of Donor Services is an award-winning team of eight that strives for excellence and innovation, focused on non-standard and standard gift agreements, endowment reporting, distinguished professorships, donor/honoree legacy pages, and naming opportunities. This office also serves as a partner to development officers in guiding through IRS, federal and state laws and regulations related to charitable giving and gift agreements. Donor Services is a fast-paced office that partners with the General Counsel, Foundation Accounting and Investment, the Provost Office, and Scholarships and Financial Aid to negotiate donor intent clauses between development officers and donors.

Essential Job Duties

NC State seeks a Donor Services Analyst to oversee reporting, analytics, data management, and technology platform(s), including managing Ovrture (digital endowment reporting platform) and, as needed, managing elements of platforms including, but not limited to, DocuSign CLM, DocuSign eSignature, and FM: Interact (facilities management/naming opportunities platform). The analyst is responsible for the day-today responsibilities for endowment reporting, including data collection and entry, data management, and using various data validation techniques to proactively detect and resolve any recurring issues in the datasets that may impact endowment reporting. Candidates must have excellent writing skills and experience with managing technology platforms, data analysis, reporting, and statistical analysis. In addition, we are seeking candidates experienced with working with processes that require analytical skills and problem-solving, and being responsible for many simultaneous and detail-oriented responsibilities.

This position will be responsible for the following:

  • Manage Ovrture (digital endowment reporting software platform) and, as needed, manage elements of DocuSign CLM (automated gift agreement platform), DocuSign signature platform and liaise with Architect’s office with the FM: Interact (facilities management/naming opportunities platform).
  • Manage the day-to-day responsibilities for the digital and paper endowment reporting process and implement process improvements, including utilizing complex Excel formulas to cross-check data across platforms.
  • Maintain, clean, streamline, and analyze stewardship data in databases.
  • Provide customer service to both internal customers and donors regarding endowment reporting, the digital endowment report platform and DocuSign.
  • Provide analytics for the Office of Donor Services.
  • Act as a liaison between Advancement Information and Technology for various platform and reporting projects.
  • Assist in designing handouts, graphs, printed materials, reports, infographics, presentations, policies, project charters, project management plans, etc.
  • Create help documentation and training for users of Donor Services technology platforms.
  • Devise or modify Donor Services applications to solve moderately complex problems.
  • Supports technology applications by exploring, troubleshooting, and adapting to changing technologies.
  • Other job duties or projects as assigned

Minimum Experience/Education

Graduation from a four year college or university with a related degree to the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
