Drywall Estimator

Description:

CyberCoders is currently hiring a Drywall Estimator for its client operations in Chaska, MN. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated professional with strong commercial drywall estimation experience to play a pivotal role in the success of construction projects. The ideal candidate will be deeply involved in analyzing blueprints, preparing cost estimates, evaluating bids, and ensuring timely and budget-aligned project execution.

As a Drywall Estimator, you will be responsible for reviewing architectural and engineering documents, formulating pricing strategies, working closely with internal teams and subcontractors, and producing precise and competitive project proposals. This position demands a detail-oriented mindset, strong analytical capabilities, and a solid understanding of drywall systems, including EIFS, stucco, and acoustical ceilings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cost Estimation & Bid Preparation:
  Analyze project specifications, drawings, and construction documents to create accurate cost estimates for drywall and related finishes. Prepare detailed bids and proposals for prospective clients in both private and public sectors.

• Project Collaboration:
  Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, align on timelines, and validate project scopes. Maintain open communication to avoid cost overruns or delays.

• Site Evaluations & Risk Assessments:
  Visit construction sites as needed to assess physical conditions and project challenges that could impact cost or execution. Factor in local building codes and safety regulations into all estimations.

• Subcontractor & Vendor Coordination:
  Review, compare, and negotiate subcontractor bids to ensure competitiveness and quality. Build and maintain a network of reliable suppliers and trade professionals.

• Database Management:
  Maintain up-to-date cost and pricing data in internal systems. Utilize and enhance estimation software tools for optimal accuracy and speed in project analysis.

• Regulatory Compliance:
  Ensure all project bids and construction recommendations comply with local, state, and federal building codes. Factor in environmental, legal, and structural standards.

Required Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of commercial drywall estimating experience

• In-depth understanding of drywall, metal framing, stucco, EIFS, and acoustical ceiling systems (preferred)

• Ability to read and interpret architectural blueprints and construction documents

• Strong analytical and mathematical skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimation software

• Excellent communication, time management, and negotiation skills
