Dump Truck Driver

Description:

SFI Topsoil, a well-established provider of premium topsoil since 2009, is actively seeking a CDL-A Semi Dump Truck Driver to join its growing fleet in the Chicagoland area. This role is ideal for professional drivers with a strong work ethic and at least two years of experience in dump truck operations. You will be an essential part of our team, transporting various construction and landscaping materials to and from job sites using manual transmission dump trucks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate manual transmission dump trucks safely within the Chicagoland region.

• Load, transport, and unload topsoil and other materials as per job site requirements.

• Comply with all DOT and local/state/federal transportation laws and safety standards.

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and functionality.

• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel for efficient route execution.

• Maintain accurate delivery logs and required documentation.

Required Qualifications:

• Possession of a valid CDL-A (Commercial Driver’s License).

• Minimum of 2 years' experience operating dump trucks.

• Skilled in handling manual transmission trucks.

• Sound understanding of traffic and safety regulations.

• Strong communication and time management skills.

• Ability to work independently while maintaining reliability and professionalism.
