Elections Director

 

Description:

Global Strategy Group (GSG) operates at the intersection of business, politics, and causes, providing public affairs, communications, and research solutions. GSG is seeking a 2026 Elections Director to support the research practice from November 2025 through the 2026 election cycle. This position functions as a Project Lead responsible for managing all aspects of research projects, understanding client objectives, and delivering high-quality insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage qualitative and quantitative research projects from start to finish with accountability for success.

  • Conceptualize and produce client-ready survey questionnaires, qualitative research guides, and analyses with minimal edits.

  • Create strategic insights and recommendations for clients, delivering analyses in written and PowerPoint formats.

  • Independently manage projects and client relationships with minimal oversight.

  • Moderate qualitative research engagements such as in-depth interviews, focus groups, and online discussion boards.

  • Oversee project fielding, including reviewing partials, troubleshooting, and coordinating with data teams.

  • Train, manage, and mentor junior staff, supporting professional development.

  • Contribute to new business proposals, research design, and methodological approaches.

  • Identify growth opportunities and provide actionable recommendations to the team.

Required Qualifications:

  • 6-8 years of research experience focused on politics.

  • Proficiency in all stages of quantitative and qualitative research projects.

  • Strong strategic, consulting, and presentation skills.

  • Excellent project management, organizational, and multitasking abilities.

  • Client-facing experience, including leading engagements, preferred.

  • Experience with in-depth interviews and focus group moderation preferred.

  • Strong communication, analytical, and writing skills.

  • Ability to mentor, train, and manage entry-level staff.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and data visualization.

  • Experience or coursework in statistics and advanced quantitative methods is a plus.
