Electrical Engineer

Description:

Sulzer, a leading global engineering company, is seeking an Electrical Engineer for its Pasadena, TX location. The role involves a dual responsibility of hands-on field service and engineering support, offering exposure to on-site preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and electromechanical shop projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform on-site field service, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting on electromechanical equipment.

• Prepare timely reports for customers regarding work performed.

• Assist with shop projects related to electromechanical equipment.

• Participate in on-the-job training and inter-disciplinary tasks.

• Prioritize internal safety initiatives and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.

• Depending on proficiency, may handle aspects of project management.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Preferred 0–4 years’ experience in electrical engineering.

• Knowledge of electric motors, generators, transformer repair and design, switchgear diagnostics, and power semiconductors.

• Proficiency in basic power theory and operations of induction/synchronous motors, transformer principles, and semiconductor operations.

• Hands-on experience with winding insulation tests.

• Self-motivated, responsible, and ready for hands-on training.

• Ability to take ownership of tasks and complete them efficiently.
