Electrical & Instrumental (e&i) Technician

Cytiva, a leading life sciences and biotechnology company under Danaher Corporation, is seeking an Electrical & Instrumental (E&I) Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation systems at our Pensacola, Florida facility. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our machinery operates efficiently, minimizing downtime, and maintaining our high standards of quality and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

⚡ Installation, Maintenance, and Repair: Install, maintain, and repair electrical and instrumentation systems, including sensors, control systems, and electrical components. Perform calibration and testing to ensure system accuracy.
🔧 Troubleshooting & Preventive Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve electrical and process control issues, ensuring smooth operations. Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce downtime.
📜 Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
🤝 Collaboration & Training: Work with engineering and production teams to support system upgrades and modifications. Provide training to staff on proper system use and maintenance.
🛠️ Inventory & System Upgrades: Monitor spare parts and tool inventory to ensure availability for repairs. Assist in planning system upgrades to enhance efficiency.

Minimum Requirements:

✔ 5+ years of E&I experience with electrical and process control systems.
✔ PLC troubleshooting and programming experience.
✔ Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) installation and troubleshooting.
✔ Ability to repair and maintain electrical and process control instruments.
✔ Strong understanding of electrical safety regulations and compliance standards.
✔ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

🏋 Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
🏗️ Work in industrial environments (exposure to noise, heat, and confined spaces)
⏰ Willing to work flexible hours, including overtime and on-call shifts

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

🎓 Associate’s degree in Electrical or Instrumentation
📜 Relevant certifications (e.g., Journeyman Electrician, ISA Certified Control Systems Technician, NCCER/Certified Plus)
