Description:

FUJIFILM Ink Solutions Group is seeking an experienced Instrument & Electrical Technician to support its manufacturing operations at the New Castle, Delaware facility. This full-time, on-site position focuses on providing comprehensive instrumentation and electrical (I&E) maintenance services across manufacturing plants, labs, and warehouses to ensure equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have substantial hands-on experience in installing, calibrating, and maintaining electrical and control systems in a manufacturing setting. They must also adhere to FUJIFILM's rigorous EHS and GMP standards while contributing to the site's continuous improvement and safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and test a variety of electrically driven equipment and instrumentation, including low and medium-voltage systems.

  • Work with pressure transmitters, temperature controllers, PLCs (Allen Bradley & Siemens), VFDs, UPS systems, control circuits, solenoids, and other components.

  • Perform detailed failure analyses and document all repair actions accurately.

  • Collaborate closely with the maintenance team and process owners to identify and resolve equipment issues.

  • Identify electrical spare parts, build equipment documentation files, and define routine service schedules.

  • Develop and maintain preventative maintenance (PM) programs.

  • Write and implement electrical operation, isolation, and maintenance procedures; assist in training site personnel.

  • Act as a liaison between manufacturers and the plant team for troubleshooting and resolution of equipment issues.

  • Support planning and execution of electrical work during shutdowns.

  • Participate in on-call overtime rotations as needed.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere strictly to site safety protocols including lockout/tag-out, confined space entry, and electrical safety.

  • Maintain GMP-compliant documentation for all tasks and work orders.

  • Participate in safety audits and act as a rotating member of the site's EHS Committee.

  • Promote a culture of safe work practices and ensure all safety equipment is properly installed and used.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a 2-year technical school or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical and controls system maintenance in a manufacturing environment.

  • Proficient in reading electrical schematics and P&IDs.

  • Experience with motor controls and electrical components.

  • Hands-on experience with PLC repair and programming.

  • Familiarity with OSHA, GMP, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 requirements.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and SAP is a plus.
