Description:

Nestlé USA is looking for a skilled and motivated Electrician to join its long-standing Jacksonville, IL manufacturing facility. This role is essential in supporting food production by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems, control devices, and instrumentation across both processing and packaging operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical systems, PLCs, sensors, motors, switches, circuit breakers, and control devices.

• Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, control networks, and electrical systems (up to 480V).

• Support engineering upgrades and plant improvements through technical expertise.

• Disassemble, inspect, and repair electrical and mechanical components using diagnostic tools.

• Install wiring, conduit, panels, and drives while following electrical codes and safety standards.

• Perform preventive maintenance and equipment adjustments to ensure operational efficiency.

• Execute equipment changeovers for packaging and processing lines.

• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and engineering documentation.

• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements.

Schedule & Benefits:

• Monday to Friday schedule with weekends off (8-hour night shifts available; training starts on days).

• Occasional overtime and weekend work required to meet critical deadlines.

Candidate Profile:

• Strong troubleshooting ability with circuits, fuses, switches, solenoids, and sensors.

• Proficient with hand tools, diagnostic instruments, and powered equipment.

• Capable of diagnosing failures, interpreting test data, and implementing corrective actions.

• Able to communicate effectively, collaborate with teams, and adapt to feedback.

• Knowledge of electrical safety certifications such as Arc Flash, LOTO, and PTW (or willingness to obtain).
