Electronic Engineer

Description:

We're seeking a skilled RF Electronics Engineer to join a cutting-edge team building next-generation RF platforms for space and defense applications. This role involves full ownership of RF hardware—designing, testing, and deploying high-performance systems for use in demanding space environments.

You'll collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team across software, hardware, and FPGA domains to take products from concept through vehicle integration. Ideal candidates are hands-on engineers who thrive in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead RF board/system architecture, component selection, and design trade-offs
• Develop, test, and troubleshoot high-frequency RF circuits and systems
• Coordinate across digital, mechanical, and manufacturing teams
• Ensure compliance with space-grade requirements; create test/qualification plans
• Validate RF metrics (e.g., S-parameters, noise figure, EVM) and system performance

Required Experience:

• Strong background in microwave circuit design (front-end to data conversion chain)
• Full PCB development experience: schematic, layout, fabrication, bring-up
• Proficient with design tools: ADS, HFSS, Altium Designer
• Deep understanding of RF systems, link budgets, and RF performance metrics
• Skilled with lab test equipment: VNAs, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.
• Familiar with components like LNAs, mixers, filters, PLLs, ADCs/DACs

Preferred Experience:

• Radiation-tolerant component selection
• Familiarity with AD9361, Xilinx RFSoC
• Soldering/reworking fine-pitch components (0402, QFN)
• Antenna design and RF simulation
• DSP fundamentals and communication link modeling
• Experience with high-PAPR signals and DPD techniques
