Elementary Teaching Assistants

Description:

Duties include

• Assisting teachers in French and English classrooms
• Working with small groups of students or individuals in class as needed
• Preparing and distributing school lunches
• Actively supervising recesses and lunchtime
• Transferring students from one classroom to another
• Providing feedback to teachers about their students when they are under your supervision
• Monitoring the upkeep and organization of classroom and common spaces
• Keeping track of student attendance and ensuring children are ready for early pick up
• Ensuring safe and smooth child dispatch to their after-school activities

Teaching assistants also have the option to participate in our week-long vacation camps during the October, February, and April breaks and the three-week-long Summer camp in June-July.

Hours: 8:00 a.m-4:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday

Required Skills

• At least two years of recent experience working with children
• A passion for working with 3rd to 5th Grade aged students
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
• Highly skilled in collaborative teamwork within a fast-paced environment
