Akkodis, a global leader in technology and engineering solutions, is recruiting a Power Systems Embedded Engineer for its client in Andover, MA. This position focuses on developing embedded firmware architecture and code optimized for controlling advanced power components in high-performance systems. The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with a collaborative approach to deliver robust, scalable, and efficient firmware solutions.

Design, develop, and optimize embedded firmware architecture and control algorithms for power supply systems.
Collaborate with analog and hardware engineers to create integrated firmware solutions for power control platforms.
Address and resolve firmware bugs and change requests using diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes and hardware analyzers.
Define standardized processes, methodologies, and tools for developing reusable firmware solutions across multiple product lines.
Integrate product and manufacturing requirements into firmware design to ensure robust, scalable, and efficient performance.
Evaluate and select microcontroller architectures to balance performance, cost, and reliability.
Conduct detailed requirement analysis, task breakdowns, and effort estimation to meet project milestones on schedule.
Mentor hardware engineers and guide them in contributing to firmware development processes.
Apply formal development methods and coding best practices to maintain code modularity, quality, and long-term sustainability.
Participate in requirements definition, design documentation, unit testing, and system validation activities.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science (Master’s preferred).
Experience: Minimum 5 years in embedded firmware development with hands-on work involving microprocessors/microcontrollers.
Strong proficiency in C and Assembly language programming.
Solid understanding of power supply design, testing, and control systems.
Experience with firmware debugging and performance optimization tools.
Familiarity with Simulink, StateFlow, Microsoft Visual Studio, and ARM Cortex-M0 platforms is advantageous.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and time management skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines in fast-paced environments.
Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional engineering teams.
Eligibility: US Citizens or Green Card holders only (No C2C).
Salary: $100000 – $118000 annually (Approx. $8333 – $9833 monthly).
