Description:
SharkNinja, a global leader in innovative consumer product design and technology, is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to join its Needham, MA team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary engineering environment that drives the creation of next-generation products for two globally trusted brands — Shark and Ninja.
As an Electrical Engineer, you will contribute to the full product lifecycle — from conceptual design through to mass production. You’ll collaborate closely with global cross-functional teams, lead the technical aspects of embedded electronic design, and drive the integration of cutting-edge hardware and firmware solutions across SharkNinja’s evolving product roadmap.
Collaborate with global teams to design, build, and test next-generation products from concept to production.
Lead technical design for embedded systems including analog and digital circuits, hardware schematics, PCB layouts, and firmware development (C and ASM).
Develop prototypes and test setups to validate concepts and new technologies.
Research and explore emerging electronic technologies to introduce innovative features in future products.
Participate in design reviews, ensuring engineering rigor and adherence to product specifications.
Generate test protocols and detailed reports, and automate testing where possible.
Evaluate and improve designs through DVT and DFMEA processes.
Collaborate with contract manufacturers to ensure design manufacturability and quality standards.
Review and optimize electronic bills of materials (EBOMs and CBOMs) to reduce costs.
Support EMC, safety, and homologation testing for global product certifications.
Troubleshoot, debug, and analyze performance issues and returned products to identify and resolve root causes.
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
1–2 years of relevant industry experience or equivalent internship experience.
Strong foundation in embedded hardware design, including microcontrollers, power supplies, signal conditioning, and serial communication protocols.
Familiarity with test instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, data loggers, and spectrum analyzers.
Basic understanding of electronic test protocols and procedures.
Proven ability to analyze test results, communicate findings effectively, and suggest improvements.
Exposure to DevOps, DFMEA, and PLM systems preferred.
Experience in motor control and navigation technologies such as SLAM, V-SLAM, ToF, or LiDAR is a plus.
