Engineer Advisor

Description:

LeadStack Inc. is seeking an Engineer Advisor to support Transmission & Substation Project Development (TSPD) at a major energy company based in Pomona, California. This role is critical in managing project intake, scheduling, and performance metrics for substation and transmission infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in substation engineering and performance data analysis, with a proactive, analytical mindset and excellent communication skills.

You will be responsible for aiding in the transition of legacy projects, supporting project sponsors, and developing dashboards and performance metrics to guide strategic decisions. Your ability to coordinate across stakeholders and manage project performance will directly support improvements in infrastructure reliability, load growth planning, interconnection, and asset replacements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research outstanding sponsorship projects and determine relevance and action plans

• Collaborate with prior and current sponsors to transition or cancel projects by end of 2025

• Assist in developing transition schedules for viable projects

• Support project intake processes and scheduling for sponsorship programs

• Track project progress through metrics and deliverables including Project Development Reports, Risk Assessments, Mitigation plans, and Cost/Schedule estimates

• Analyze company performance metrics including financial, operational, and customer KPIs

• Develop and maintain performance dashboards for visibility and decision-making

• Align performance metrics with organizational goals and objectives

• Identify improvement areas and recommend strategic enhancements

• Guide business units on setting and tracking performance goals

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related discipline

• Strong experience in substation design, construction, and maintenance

• Solid background in project scheduling, sponsorship, and engineering performance tracking

• Excellent data analysis, dashboard reporting, and KPI management skills

• Proven experience with cross-functional coordination and stakeholder management

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in performance data analysis, business operations, or related reporting

• Familiarity with project sponsorship processes in energy or utility environments

• Ability to work independently while supporting evolving project management systems
