The Global ME Virtual Design, Development and Validation (VDDV) Engineering Group Manager will be responsible for managing the identification, documentation and solution development activities for Global ME to meet it's 100% Virtual by 2025 goals. As part of the ME Virtual Design, Development and Validation Team (VDDV), they will support all Global ME functions and strategic suppliers, and drive collaboration and results through IT, TCI, R&D, technical suppliers and Product Design's VDDV team. Initially as the scope of VDDV activity is defined, this role will manage a 6/7 level individual contributor focused on data and project management work. It is expected that as gaps/solutions are defined, additional project managers will be required to support the anticipated overall demands of the global ME organization. The ME VDDV manager will integrate input from all Global ME functions; develop strategies to define/deliver complex, technical solutions; support enterprise prioritization of projects; and make progress status visible to leadership.
This role follows the Hybrid Work Appropriately model and allows work flexibility to ensure our diverse team has good work-life integration. This position leverages the use of virtual tools and does not require an employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. Depending on current projects or business need, the role may require commuting/travel to GM's Global Technical Center in Warren, MI.
