Description:

Primary Talent Partners has a 12 month contract opening for an Engineering Lab Tech to join a multinational medical device company for an onsite position operating out of Lafayette, CO.

Pay:
$20.00/hr - $25.00/hr based on experience and academia
Contract: 12 months, extensions likely, conversion possible
Type: W-2, cannot support C2C or provide visa sponsorship
Location: Lafayette, CO - local candidates only - not accepting relocation candidates at this time

Summary:
Join our innovative team as an Engineering Lab Technician, where you'll play a hands-on role in supporting engineering projects. This position requires proficiency in hand tools, strong memo and report writing skills, and the ability to follow directions effectively.

Ideal candidates will have experience with single-board computers (SBCs) and solid modeling, though these skills are a plus rather than a requirement.

Responsibilities:

  • Assembling, testing, and troubleshooting components using hand tools to assist engineers in prototype development.
  • Writing memos and reports to document testing results, procedures, and observations for engineering teams.
  • Following instructions closely to execute experiments or build setups according to specifications.
  • Collaborating with engineers to refine designs and ensure components function properly.
  • Potentially working with single-board computers (SBCs) to assist in data collection or system testing.
  • Using solid modeling software if needed to visualize or modify designs.
  • Maintaining lab equipment and ensuring everything is in proper working condition.
  • Performs a variety of technical procedures such as preparing routine solutions and reagents and performing routine reactions.
  • Makes and records observations; performs simple calculations; and collects and prepares data for evaluation.
  • Conducts laboratory support functions such as stocking and distributing supplies and equipment; arranging and dismantling apparatus; and collecting, washing, and storing glassware.
  • Performs technical and record keeping duties in conformance with company and regulatory policies and standards to meet quality and accuracy requirements.
  • May analyze compounds and manage corporate compound collection.
  • Performs technical procedures in one or more of the following areas: Production, Research and Development, Quality Control/Assurance, and/or Compliance/Environmental.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma is required; college degree preferred, though not required.
  • Proficient in using hand tools (calipers, multimeters, etc.)
  • Skilled in memo and technical report writing
  • Experience with single-board computers (SBCs) and solid modeling is a plus!
  • Former Medical Device experience is a strong plus!
