Description:
The Enrichment and Volunteer Manager plays a key role in advancing Dementia Together’s mission by coordinating and facilitating engaging social opportunities for people living with dementia and their care partners. This role oversees volunteer management, event planning, and program implementation, ensuring high-quality experiences that foster connection, dignity, and joy.

Core Responsibilities (Applicable to All Dementia Together Staff)
- Represent the organization with professionalism, integrity, and a respectful, joyful kindness, modeling dementia-friendly communication strategies.
- Collaborate with the team to develop innovative solutions that enhance program effectiveness and sustainability.
- Maintain accurate records and submit timely reports for program impact tracking, financial oversight, and operational efficiency.
- Adhere to ethical guidelines and uphold confidentiality.
- Contribute to organizational development, ensuring alignment with Dementia Together’s mission, values, and strategic priorities.
- Maintain shared documents in Dementia Together’s Microsoft shared drive or cloud storage.
- Document and update job-related processes to ensure sustainability and efficiency.
- Attend staff meetings and schedule time off in a manner that does not disrupt program operations.

Program Coordination & Facilitation
- Plan, coordinate, and lead social engagement programs, including:
- Memory Cafés (in-person, mobile, and virtual)
- Companion Groups
- Veterans’ Morning Coffee
- DT Sports
- B Sharp Arts Engagement
- Other social gatherings as identified in collaboration with the Dementia Together team
- Implement and monitor safety protocols to ensure venue staff are equipped with dementia-friendly strategies.
- Maintain a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere for participants and care partners.
- Ensure program quality aligns with best practices in dementia care and nonprofit service delivery.
Volunteer Program Management
- Develop and oversee volunteer recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, training, engagement, and recognition efforts.
- Monitor volunteer performance and provide feedback and guidance as needed.
- Foster a positive volunteer experience, ensuring clear communication and appreciation.
- Work collaboratively with the outreach team and leadership to expand volunteer engagement opportunities.
- Supervise volunteers and provide guidance to program coordinators as needed.

Community Engagement & Outreach
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners, local businesses, and service providers to support programming.
- Track and document attendance and program participation to measure community impact.
- Represent Dementia Together at events, conferences, and outreach activities.
Program Administration & Compliance
- Maintain accurate records in the organizational database and submit reports in a timely manner.
- Work within the annual program budget, tracking expenses for supplies, entertainment, and hospitality.
- Submit monthly mileage and expense reports.
- Support grant reporting by compiling program data, evaluation results, and financial documentation as needed.
QualificationsRequired:
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in a relevant field (dementia care, aging services, healthcare, human services, nonprofit management, event planning, or related discipline).
- 3-5 years of experience in volunteer management, program coordination, or community engagement.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to build relationships with diverse participant and volunteer groups.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cloud-based collaboration tools.
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and automobile insurance.
- Successful completion of a background check.
