Entry Level Controls Engineer

Seeking a creative, highly motivated, agile thinker with a passion for automation. The ideal candidate has a background in or exposure with electrical or computer engineering with strong programming skills, and can perform at a high level in a fast paced, high volume manufacturing facility. This person shall be comfortable supporting manufacturing processes on the production floor. As a Controls Engineer you will be addressing production issues alongside quality, manufacturing, and maintenance teams. Additionally, you will be expected to maintain, and improve existing production processes by using continuous improvement and problem solving techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure, program, test and troubleshoot PLC based control systems and associated components
  • Electrical troubleshooting and testing of controls systems, control panels, and associated equipment
  • Diagnose and correct deficiencies in manufacturing processes and equipment
  • Develop innovative solutions
  • Design and deploy intuitive user interface displays
  • Propose and evaluate manufacturing processes and equipment
  • Support and actively interact with manufacturing and quality groups
  • Continuously improve quality, cost, responsiveness & safety


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an Electrical or Automation discipline or equivalent experience
  • Ability to read and modify electrical prints
  • Basic understanding of Ethernet networks
  • Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation control platform experience
  • Relevant coursework or experience with Manufacturing, Assembly Process, Welding, Molding, Fabrication
  • Experience with Cognex, Keyence, Fanuc and Siemens preferred
  • Must be willing to rotate shifts
