Environmental General Laborer

This field role involves performing tasks related to hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling hazardous materials, with a strong emphasis on health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain health and safety as the top priority by adhering to policies and procedures.

• Perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, pulling, and handling heavy objects.

• Operate light and heavy equipment, hand tools, and powered industrial tools.

• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators and protective clothing.

• Work in various weather conditions and temperatures, indoors and outdoors.

• Handle exposure risks to hazardous, toxic, or corrosive agents.

• Work in confined spaces, elevated areas, and areas with high noise levels.

• Assist in field sampling and equipment calibration.

• Inspect waste containers for integrity and regulatory compliance.

• Safely load and unload hazardous and non-hazardous waste.

• Conduct waste stream sampling and profiling.

• Comply with all local, state, and federal environmental and safety regulations.

• Participate in safety and compliance meetings.

• Operate vehicles safely per DOT and company standards.

• Be on-call for emergency response on a rotating schedule as required.

• Perform other duties related to site remediation and hazardous material handling.

Required Qualifications:

• Reliable transportation.

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.

• Willingness to be on-call for emergency response, including weekends and holidays.

• Successful completion of background check, drug test, and physical exam.

• Compliance with OSHA’s Respiratory Protection standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license.

• Previous experience in labor or environmental services.
