Description:
The ERP Application Development Manager is responsible for overseeing the development and enhancement of ERP applications, ensuring alignment with business goals and processes. This role involves leading a team of developers and business analysts to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet user needs and improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of developers working on ERP, warehouse management, and custom business applications.
- Architect, develop, and maintain mission-critical applications using RPG, SQL, and ILE on IBM iSeries (AS/400) platforms.
- Collaborate with operations, finance, and supply chain teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable, high-performance solutions.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and ensure high standards of software quality and maintainability.
- Drive continuous improvement through agile methodologies and modern DevOps practices.
- Integrate legacy systems with modern cloud-based platforms and third-party tools.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in application development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Strong expertise in RPG (Free/ILE), SQL, and IBM iSeries (AS/400) environments.
- Hands-on experience with ERP Systems (JD Edwards World and/or EnterpriseOne Preferred)
- Proven success in leading ERP modernization or migration projects.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain business processes.
- Familiarity with agile project management tools and methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language
