Description:
The ESM System Specialist role is responsible for the configuration, testing and ongoing support of the vendor-hosted applications used to support our Enterprise customers. Key components of this role include execution of system configurations, assisting with production support issues that impact day to day operations and support of system upgrades as needed. The individual will work closely with the Product Owner, Tech Team, business customers and the Third Party provider in order to manage business-as-usual (BAU) processes and may often drive work streams within larger initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
- Designs, executes and tests implementation of system configurations/updates to support business demand for enhancements to existing capabilities
- Manages periodic application upgrades, to include evaluation of new functionality, testing and overall project management
- Triages, troubleshoots and resolves trouble tickets submitted (access issues, system issues, etc.)
- Manages requests for system access
- Facilitates recurring meetings with the Third Party provider and internal customers to resolve issues
- Creates and maintains documentation, to include system settings, procedures and process workflows
- Drives improvements to existing processes, methods and tools
- Works on cross-functional teams to implement new features/functionality into the business as usual environment
- Proactively manages risks in both individual and team delivery processes
- Defines and maintains test cases with expected outcomes for application feature testing
- Ensures the logging, tracking, communication and resolution of system issues and defects
- Other job duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience
- At least 2 years of experience in Change Management
- At least 2 years of experience in following formal change control procedures to deploy system configurations and updates in a production environment
- At least 1 year of experience working with G-Suite applications
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Process Management experience
- 2+ years of experience in QA Testing and Software development
- 3+ years of experience in Information Security Awareness
- 3+ years of experience in data privacy and security principles as they relate to vendor-hosted applications.
- 3+ years of experience in Vendor Management and working with third-party software providers to resolve issues and manage upgrades
- 3+ years of experience with configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting a large-scale, vendor-hosted application (e.g., specific ERP, CRM, or P2P systems).
- 3+ years of experience in understanding of System Integrations
- Proven ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional teams with emphasis on the ability to articulate technical information to non-technical peers and leadership
- Highly motivated and able to work both independently and within teams
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem solving and communication skills
- Quick learner who is able to multitask in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
