Executive Director

 

Description:

Job Summary: As the Executive Director, you will be responsible for leading and managing our fundraising efforts, operational financial stability, program effectiveness, and stakeholder relations. Your primary focus will be to spearhead the enhancement of our fundraising infrastructure, oversee our staff, and ensure an increase in revenue while effectively managing our financial operations and program performance metrics.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Organizational Leadership and Management:

  • Sustain a workplace culture of excellence, integrity, and collaboration.
  • Cultivate community connections with families, donors, and partners.
  • Oversee and guide the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to program camp services.
  • Empower and support program managers to move toward self-sustainability while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

 

Fundraising Infrastructure Development

  • Lead efforts to augment fundraising infrastructure to enhance fundraising revenue.
  • Increase family engagement as stakeholders in fundraising efforts.
  • Foster increased donor appreciation and engagement strategies.

 

Financial Stability and Growth:

  • Oversee the budget, cash forecasting and financial planning annual processes.
  • Maintain a minimum operations cash balance with a focus on augmenting reserves and increasing overall cash reserves.
  • Strive to improve operational margins in our programs through strategic financial planning and execution.

 

Stakeholder Engagement and Board Support:[BC8]

  • Provide strong leadership and support to the Board of Directors (BOD), the Young Professional’s Board (YPB), and their committees.
  • Collaborate with the BOD to implement strategic initiatives and maintain transparent communication channels.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a senior leadership role/Executive Director within a nonprofit or similar organization
  • Demonstrated success in implementing fundraising strategies resulting in increased revenue.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and cash flow management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage stakeholders effectively.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team towards common goals.
  • Willingness to spend a significant amount of time at summer camp each year (Granby, Colorado) sometimes up to six weeks (usually two weeks on and one week off)
