Executive Director

 

Description:

Supportive Services Corporation, a nonprofit serving Western New Yorkers through Senior Employment and Weatherization Assistance Programs, seeks an Executive Director to lead its mission and strategy. The Executive Director will set strategic direction, build organizational culture, lead the senior team, work with the Board of Directors, and represent the agency publicly.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead development and implementation of Agency’s strategic direction

  • Assess environmental trends and opportunities

  • Plan and execute Board meetings with the Board Chairperson

  • Oversee marketing efforts

  • Serve as the primary spokesperson and public face of the agency

  • Develop relationships with community leaders, elected officials, and other organizations

  • Advocate for policies benefiting the served population

  • Recruit and train a committed workforce

  • Promote diversity, sensitivity, and fair treatment in all interactions


Qualifications:

  • College degree (preferably Business Administration, Social Work, or related field)

  • 10+ years senior management or leadership experience, preferably in nonprofit sector

  • Experience working with a Board of Directors

  • Integrity and adherence to ethical/professional standards

  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills

  • Team-building and collaboration focus

  • Strong analytical thinking, business acumen, strategic and visionary outlook, diplomacy


Salary & Benefits:

  • Salary: $38,000 part-time; full-time salary based on experience

  • Benefits: Health insurance, PTO (sick, vacation), thirteen paid holidays, production bonus, paid training/education
