Description:
HUB International, the 5th largest global insurance and employee benefits broker, is seeking an experienced and visionary Executive Vice President to lead the Employee Benefits line of business across the Mid-South region (MSO). This role is integral to driving growth, innovation, and excellence in service delivery for HUB’s employee benefits offerings. With over 18,000 employees across 500+ offices in North America, HUB is rapidly expanding and offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic, client-focused, and growth-oriented environment.
The EVP will report directly to the President of MSO and will oversee strategic planning, client relationship management, and operational execution for all employee benefits services within the region. The successful candidate will play a critical leadership role in talent development, business growth, and maintaining HUB’s reputation as a top-tier broker.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a vision for profitable growth across the Employee Benefits (EB) practice in the Mid-South region
Co-manage the regional EB budget and financial performance in collaboration with the VP of Employee Benefit Operations
Serve as a thought leader and subject matter expert in employee benefits, providing innovative strategies aligned with evolving client needs
Recruit, mentor, and support young producers and existing staff to foster team development and high performance
Represent HUB in finalist meetings, large case negotiations, and act as a strategic expert in closing deals
Maintain and grow client and carrier relationships, proactively resolving issues and enhancing value
Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote HUB and expand its market footprint
Ensure consistent delivery of best-in-class sales and consulting experiences
Support account stewardship, activate specialty services, and oversee multi-year strategic plans for clients
Assist with internal training programs, E&O risk management, recruiting, and other operational best practices
Candidate Requirements:
10+ years of experience in employee benefits, preferably in leadership roles
Demonstrated success in client retention, business development, and cross-selling
Strong understanding of the insurance market, EB products, and vendor landscape
Proven ability to manage large and multi-national client accounts (up to 10,000+ employees)
Exceptional financial literacy, with experience managing profit & loss and communicating value to clients
Excellent public speaking, presentation, interpersonal, and organizational skills
High-level strategic thinking and people management capabilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant tools
Bachelor’s degree required; relevant certifications preferred
Active Tennessee Life and Health License required
Willingness to travel up to 25%, including across various U.S. states
