Facilities Planning Specialist

 

Description:

An ideal temporary assignment candidate would be an enthusiastic and knowledgeable individual who enjoys inspections and working with sites and programs personnel and being a part of a large organization that offers a variety of opportunities to develop as a professional.
The temporary assignment is needed now until November 2023.
The Well Qualified Candidate Will Possess the Following
Knowledge:

  • Principles and practices of facilities planning and construction, structural engineering and architecture, and commercial/institutional real estate management
  • Principles, practices, and techniques of budget management
  • Construction terminology
  • Project management software
  • Architectural design computer software (e.g., AutoCAD)
  • Principles of contract laws, purchasing, and contract administration
  • Federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and codes related to building maintenance and construction
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other applicable programs

Required Education and Experience

Education: A bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or other fields closely related to the job requirements of this classification, from an institution of higher learning recognized by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation. Foreign degrees and credit units require translation and equivalency established by an agency recognized by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing.

Experience: Three years of experience in the field of architecture as an architect, designer, planner, or project manager.
