Facility Technician

Description:

Randstad is currently hiring a Facility Technician to support operations at a pharmaceutical GMP facility in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This contract-based, full-time role (Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 4 PM) offers a competitive hourly rate between $40–50, with additional benefits including health coverage, incentive programs, and 401K contributions, depending on eligibility.

The Facility Technician will be responsible for the preventive and corrective maintenance and calibration of utility systems and process equipment in a cleanroom GMP environment. This position plays a critical role in maintaining data accuracy and operational compliance in pharmaceutical manufacturing. Candidates must be able to follow strict protocols and may be required to perform tasks while fully gowned in a cleanroom setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and unscheduled calibrations of instruments and systems, including operations in cleanrooms.

• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and laboratory equipment such as freezers, refrigerators, and incubators.

• Utilize SOPs, calibration instructions, equipment manuals, and manufacturer procedures to ensure accurate equipment alignment and performance.

• Support and coordinate third-party calibrations and preventive maintenance of specialized equipment including Xuri Bioreactors, GRex Bioreactors, and Sepax systems.

• Maintain documentation and scheduling through a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in equipment calibration and maintenance in a GMP cleanroom environment.

• Demonstrated experience using a CMMS system.

• Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

• Familiarity with CAPA processes is a plus.
