Field Diesel Mechanic

Position Summary:

As a Field Diesel Mechanic, you will maintain and repair a variety of complex rental equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems. You will provide exceptional service by traveling to customer job sites, maintaining your service vehicle, and assisting in technician training. This role offers opportunities for advancement within the service department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform safe maintenance and repair on complex equipment involving multiple systems (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, diesel)

• Travel to customer job sites to service rental or customer-owned equipment

• Keep the service vehicle clean and professional

• Assist in training lower-level technicians as needed

• Maintain complete and timely documentation of work performed via work orders daily

• Support equipment and parts pickup and delivery

• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

• 3-5 years of experience in equipment repair and maintenance

• Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools

• In-depth mechanical knowledge of various engines

• Own tools relevant to the position

• Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills

• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs

• Position classified as Safety Sensitive
