Description:

Bayer, a global leader in life sciences with core competencies in healthcare and agriculture, is seeking a Field Sales Representative III – Seed for its Crop Science Division. Based in Northwest Kansas, this remote, field-facing role is integral to Bayer’s mission of delivering world-class crop protection and seed solutions to agricultural partners and driving the growth of its Seed & Trait business.

This role is ideal for a dynamic, results-driven professional with a strong foundation in agricultural sales, customer relationship management, and market development. The successful candidate will collaborate across internal teams and external partners to achieve business targets, support local dealers, and cultivate strong relationships with key growers and retailers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive achievement of assigned sales targets for Bayer’s seed portfolio in coordination with commercial squad members.

  • Act as the primary business consultant to assigned dealers and retailers, promoting the value proposition of Bayer’s Crop Science products.

  • Develop and execute business plans with dealers including forecasting, inventory planning, demand generation, and alignment on business direction.

  • Demonstrate in-depth product and agronomic knowledge to showcase Bayer’s competitive advantages.

  • Collaborate closely with Field Sales Reps, Customer Business Advisors, Technical Agronomists, Digital Leads, and Technology Development teams to deliver comprehensive support to clients.

  • Manage inventory levels and resolve any bottlenecks or fulfillment challenges.

  • Analyze and utilize market, customer, and competitive data to make strategic sales decisions and recommendations.

  • Ensure execution of national and regional marketing programs at the field level.

  • Take a leadership role in mentoring early-career Field Sales Reps and support their development.

  • Represent Bayer as the primary point of contact for top-tier growers and major accounts in the territory.

  • Manage area claims in accordance with Bayer Crop Science policies.

  • Travel up to 60% of the time with daily face-to-face interactions with clients and dealers.


Candidate Profile – What We’re Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • Strong analytical thinking, business acumen, and time/territory management skills.

  • Self-motivated with a proactive and collaborative attitude.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and a high level of digital acumen.

  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and the ability to pass a DOT/FMCSA background check.

  • Willingness to live and work in a rural/agricultural setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Agriculture or related fields preferred).

  • 6+ years of experience in sales, marketing, account management, or agribusiness (or 10+ years without a degree).

  • Proven expertise in seed/trait portfolio and agronomic consulting.

  • Previous experience with customer segmentation, product positioning, and precision agriculture tools is a plus.


Compensation & Benefits:

  • Annual Salary Range: USD 89,600 to 134,400 (Monthly: USD 7,466 to 11,200)

  • Additional Compensation: May include bonuses or commission
