Description:

Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, a key player in the global diagnostics industry under Danaher Corporation, is hiring a Field Service Engineer to join its San Diego, CA service team. This fully remote, full-time position offers the opportunity to work directly with advanced diagnostic instrumentation that significantly impacts patient health outcomes.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Beckman Coulter’s immunoassay and automation product lines. The role demands independent initiative, technical precision, and a strong customer-centric approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform installations, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on diagnostic instruments and automation systems in healthcare environments.

  • Deliver exceptional on-site service and technical support to ensure customer satisfaction and equipment uptime.

  • Maintain detailed service records and documentation including service logs, repair orders, and inventory management.

  • Utilize internal platforms such as Salesforce, OBI, and SharePoint for scheduling, reporting, and team collaboration.

  • Support and mentor less experienced engineers, ensuring knowledge transfer and skill-building across the service team.

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, enhancing customer loyalty and trust.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent military/technical training; High School Diploma with 3+ years of relevant experience may be considered.

  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience with diagnostics, robotics, electromechanical or electronic equipment.

  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

  • Willingness to travel as needed for service coverage (local and occasional overnight stays).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of advanced field service experience including system validations, modifications, and in-depth diagnostics.

  • Technical training in fields such as biomedical engineering, electronics, or industrial automation.

  • Proven ability to build lasting professional relationships with internal teams and healthcare clients.


Compensation & Benefits:

  • Hourly Rate: $33.65 – $38.46

  • Monthly Equivalent: $5822 – $6650

  • Employment Type: Full-time

  • Work Arrangement: Fully Remote (San Diego-based)
