Field Service Technician

Holman, a globally recognized and family-owned automotive services organization, is currently seeking skilled Field Service Technicians to join their dedicated team. With a strong foundation rooted in values and a century-long commitment to “Driving What’s Right,” Holman continues to grow in multiple sectors of the automotive market, including fleet management, vehicle fabrication, insurance, logistics, and retail automotive sales.

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for on-site service and repairs of truck-mounted equipment on railroad service vehicles. This includes working with cranes, hydraulics, rail conversion equipment, winches, electrical components, and other truck-mounted systems. You will operate within a designated geographical service area using a company-provided vehicle and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair truck-mounted equipment based on customer needs and equipment manuals.

• Provide accurate time and material estimates for repairs.

• Operate independently and problem-solve under minimal supervision.

• Communicate effectively with customers to resolve issues.

• Suggest improvements and report errors to optimize fleet performance.

Requirements:

• Must pass a DOT physical and possess a valid driver's license with a clean record.

• At least 3 years of mechanical experience.

• Automotive troubleshooting skills.

• Preferred experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.

• Welding and torch-cutting experience preferred.

• Ability to read and interpret service manuals.

• Positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

Additional Details:

• Shift: Monday to Friday (No weekends).

• Sign-on Bonus: $5,000.

• Benefits Eligibility: Begins within 30 days of employment.

• Compensation Range: $25 - $35 hourly (or $4320 - $6048 monthly), depending on experience.

• Alternate Range Reference: Starting range for similar roles noted as $19.48 - $28.25 hourly.
