Finance Manager

Description:

Primary Talent Partners is hiring a Finance Manager on a 12-month contract to support a major biopharmaceutical client in New York, NY. This is a hybrid role with a flexible alternating onsite schedule and offers a high-impact opportunity to contribute to finance excellence in a fast-paced, innovative environment within Cell Therapy Development Operations (CTDO).

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support global process improvements focused on inventory and fixed assets within CTDO finance.

• Collaborate with cross-functional partners in finance, operations, and supply chain to ensure compliance and drive financial performance.

• Monitor analytics and internal controls related to fixed assets and inventory.

• Assist in forecasting processes, reconciliation reviews, and SOX compliance.

• Support audits and remediation of control deficiencies.

• Collaborate with Technical Accounting and Business Control teams to align financial practices with corporate policies.

• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and project support to the CTDO finance leadership.

Required Qualifications:

• BS/BA in Accounting or Finance, CPA/equivalent or MBA required.

• Minimum 7 years of finance/accounting experience, including 3+ years in the pharmaceutical industry.

• Proven experience in manufacturing finance, particularly around inventory and fixed assets.

• Strong internal controls knowledge and experience with SOX compliance.

• Proficient in Excel and ERP systems like SAP or Oracle; experience with data analytics tools (TM1, Business Objects, etc.) is a plus.

• Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.

Desired Skills:

• CPA certification or MBA

• Background in pharmaceutical finance operations

• Familiarity with US GAAP, internal audit, and compliance testing

• Strong experience with financial planning tools and reporting systems

• Strategic business partnering and ability to influence stakeholders

Additional Information:

• Pay Rate: $95–$105/hr (equivalent to $16,480–$18,200/month)

• Type: W-2 Contract (No C2C or sponsorship)

• Schedule: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, alternating 3-days and 2-days onsite per week

• Duration: 12 months with high potential for extension or full-time conversion

• Start Date: As soon as possible
