Finance Operations Analyst

 

Description:

Sun Life Financial is looking for a Finance Operations Analyst to oversee AR/Billing analysis and reconciliations. This role ensures financial transactions comply with company policies and involves working closely with internal teams and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead AR/Billing SME for New Business Implementations (NBI)
  • Conduct financial reconciliations to ensure accuracy in transactions
  • Collaborate with the 820 Payment Analyst for issue resolution
  • Communicate financial matters across teams and clients
  • Identify and address implementation and reconciliation roadblocks
  • Work closely with Accounting, FP&A, and Client Engagement leadership
  • Support the Bad Debt Reserve process
  • Participate in client implementations and system upgrades/testing
  • Provide AR/Billing reporting and analysis
  • Identify process improvement opportunities
  • Train internal teams on finance operations
  • Assist in audit requests and finance projects

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Finance or Accounting or relevant experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and escalate issues when necessary
  • Team player with strong accountability
