Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

Description:

LHH is seeking a Manager of FP&A to support a dynamic private equity-backed company in Dallas, TX. This role plays a critical part in shaping financial strategy with a special focus on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities. The candidate will work closely with the VP of Finance and other stakeholders to drive financial planning, analysis, and value creation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead financial modeling and analysis to support M&A initiatives including due diligence, integration planning, and valuation.

• Co-lead budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning with emphasis on capital allocation and investment evaluation.

• Analyze monthly financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights and variance explanations to leadership.

• Enhance ERP and reporting systems to improve data quality and support strategic decisions.

• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track productivity, cost efficiency, and financial controls.

• Provide financial input on private equity-driven initiatives and lead value creation strategies.

• Mentor junior staff and promote a culture of analytical rigor and financial discipline.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (Required).

• CPA or MBA (Preferred).

• 5-7 years progressive FP&A experience, ideally in private equity-backed firms or transaction services.

• Strong background in M&A financial analysis and modeling.

• Advanced Excel skills.

• Experience with construction-focused ERP systems is a plus.

• SQL report writing experience is highly desirable.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.

Work Environment:

• Hybrid role with 1 day per week in-office presence required.
