The position

By joining our team in CFO Functional Center of Excellence you will have the opportunity to:

  • Contribute to Equinor’s energy transition through supporting financial reporting deliveries for the North American offshore wind and upstream oil and gas assets
  • Assist in the preparation and review of cluster and business area financial statements; including balance sheet, income statement and associated reporting schedules
  • Support the analysis of financial data on both legal entity and consolidated basis to identify trends and insights as part of the management reporting packages
  • Work directly with senior staff and management to coordinate the financial reports and analytics needed for statutory, partnership and subsidiary purposes
  • Act as a liaison with other Finance groups both in North America and abroad to encourage the timely and efficient exchange of information
  • Assist in the engagement and follow-up with Equinor’s external auditors
  • Support the preparation of SOX key controls, including documentation, analytics and review
  • Contribute to improvements and automation efforts to increase efficiency of internal control performance
  • Support accounting process improvements within the Finance & Control function

While located in Houston, Texas, this position offers a hybrid/remote work option. Equinor’s flexible work policy is focused on combining work from the office with work done outside the office, in a virtual way. Remote working arrangements are to be aligned and approved by Resource Leader. This position is not eligible for 100% remote.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Experience with ERP systems, data management and visualization tools would be a plus
  • An individual motivated about learning and growth opportunities in the energy transition
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills, demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of energy industry principles and regulations a plus but not required
