Fleet Technician

 

Description:

The Fleet Technician's primary responsibilities require performing preventative and corrective maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment including gas, propane, and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, air brakes, forklifts, tankers, and trailers.

Responsibilities
 

  • Assist in education of the Route Sales Representatives’ pre and post-trip inspections
  • Receive and process invoices for payment
  • Act as vendor billing point of contact
  • Maintain parts inventory
  • Maintain work area ensuring organization, cleanliness along with ensuring safe work practices
  • Other duties, responsibilities, and activities as assigned
     

Qualifications

Qualifications
 

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • Two years technical education completed preferred
  • Minimum three years hands-on experience (gas, propane or diesel)
  • Valid driver’s license is required
  • Ability to handle physical requirements, including, but not limited to, repeated bending, stretching, twisting, and lifting up to 60 pounds in all work conditions (indoor and outdoor)
  • Ability to obtain CDL B within specified period of time
  • Ability to obtain ASE T4 Brake Certification within specified period of time
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs; Cummins, Ford, or other engine manufacturer Diagnostic Tool proficiency required
  • Must possess personal tools necessary to perform maintenance repair and diagnostics (major tools and diagnostic equipment provided)
