Duties And Responsibilities
- The Food Service Supervisor is responsible for the overall operation of the center Food Services department.
- Plans, coordinates, and develops procedures necessary to operate center dining facility effectively, efficiently, and economically.
- The Food Service Supervisor plans and coordinates with Purchasing and Finance to maintain food and equipment inventory.
- Maintains strict safety and sanitation codes and procedures.
- Prepares menus and determines the quantity and quality of all foods ordered.
- Submits weekly reports as required and instructs departmental staff in sanitation and safety procedures.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent and extensive institutional food service management experience.
- Prefer Bachelor’s degree in Food Service Management, Hospitality, or related field.
- Prefer three years broad-based experience in an institutional food service capacity, one of which was in a lead or supervisory position.
- ServSafe food safety certification.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record preferred.
- Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.
