Description:
As a Freight Broker, you will be responsible for managing freight movements, collaborating with trucking companies, supporting carrier teams, tracking shipments, providing customer updates, and resolving any issues that arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and grow new and existing business opportunities using the full range of services offered.
- Negotiate pricing effectively to build sustainable and profitable relationships with customers and carriers.
- Ensure the most efficient and safe transportation solutions for customers.
- Increase revenue and enhance profitability by identifying and executing opportunities for improvement.
- Proactively identify potential service disruptions and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Customer Service regarding Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) and availability.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in transportation or logistics is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude, with a strong desire to learn and grow in the industry.
