Own Your Voice Academy is a dynamic start-up consulting firm and innovation hub focused on sustainability, social impact, healthcare, and environmental conservation. We're currently working on a summer hackathon project for youth (ages 15–30) to address sports and event management issues related to the 2026 FIFA World Cup from a social, health, tech, and sustainability perspective.

We are looking for a passionate Fundraiser to join our rapidly growing team. As a Fundraiser, you will play a crucial role in securing the financial support needed to transform our innovative ideas into reality. You'll work closely with the founder to build relationships with donors, foundations, and investors, and help us scale our impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop a fundraising strategy that aligns with our mission and goals

• Secure financial support by launching campaigns and cultivating relationships with potential donors, foundations, angel investors, and other partners

• Conduct grant research and apply for funding opportunities that align with our needs, writing compelling and tailored proposals

• Track and report on fundraising progress, providing regular updates to leadership and maintaining detailed records of contributions

• Collaborate closely with the founder to ensure fundraising activities align with our overall business strategy and growth objectives

• Represent the start-up and its mission to potential donors, investors, and community partners

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's and/or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Environmental Science, Political Science, Finance, or a similar field

• 2–3 years of experience in fundraising or donor relations, particularly in early-stage startups

• Strong communication skills with the ability to write compelling proposals and engage potential donors

• A passion for social, health, and environmental impact, and a desire to contribute to the company’s mission

• Entrepreneurial spirit, with the ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced start-up environment

• Proactive, energetic, and results-driven, with a focus on achieving clear fundraising goals

• Bonus: Experience or knowledge in social innovation, sustainability, sports, entertainment, healthcare, or education sectors
