Game Master

Description:

Lok'd Room Escape is seeking a friendly, creative, and resourceful Game Master to join their team. This role involves delivering an engaging escape room experience suitable for all ages with various themes, puzzles, and difficulty levels. The Game Master is a customer-facing position, requiring someone who enjoys interacting with people and can facilitate gameplay smoothly while answering any questions guests may have about the rooms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival.

• Confirm and complete bookings using reservation software.

• Conduct pre-game briefings according to game-specific scripts, ensuring all key points are communicated.

• Supervise the game remotely via CCTV, providing clues either typed or spoken to assist players.

• Reset the escape room precisely following the game-specific reset checklist.

• Manage reception and front lobby duties, including cleaning and customer service tasks.

• Handle face-to-face or telephone bookings and enquiries between games.

• Perform emergency repairs and replacements for damaged or broken game components, reporting wear and tear to management promptly.

• Assist in preparing, building, and testing props, games, and puzzles to maintain quality and functionality.

Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to think quickly and creatively in dynamic situations.

• Experience with Google Suite applications.

• Proficient in cash handling.

• Customer service experience.

• Technologically savvy and mechanically inclined skills are preferred but not mandatory.

• Must be at least in Junior Year of High School or above.

• Availability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays as needed.
